Tonight marks the kickoff of the 9th annual GreggFest, a two-day music festival put on by MEISA. According to the festival’s website, it began in 2014 as a fundraiser for a former LSC student named Jake Gregg. The prior year, Gregg was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. After his unfortunate passing in 2015, MEISA decided to continue the festival in his memory.
The kickoff begins at 8 PM in the Hornet’s Nest. Bands that will be performing include Genreal, Technical Difficulties, and Social C. MEISA’s SGA Representative, Cody Corcoran also says that the lineup for Greggfest, happening in May, will be announced tonight.
