After a few weeks of absences due to scheduling conflicts, we are now happy to bring you the Campus Activities Board report for Monday, November 5th. Topics included previous events, upcoming events, a new event tracking system, and some executive board changes.
Spooky Tuesday occurred on October 30th, during the community block. About 40 people were in attendance; Events included bobbing for donuts, a candy corn count contest, and free candy. About 40 students attended this event.
On Thursday, November 8th, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon hosted comedian Irene Tu at 9 pm. More information about attendance and the show itself will be available after the next CAB General Board meeting.
There are quite a few upcoming events to look forward to as well. On Thursday, November 15th, CAB will be hosting DIY Decorative Centerpieces for Fall (a change from their expected event of DIY Decorative Fish Bowls). Stop by during the community hour to make your own!
Thanksgiving Break runs from November 17th through November 25th. Enjoy the time off from school (and perhaps bring home one of those decorative centerpieces?), then be ready to go for the DIY Stuff’d Animals event on November 27th. This event is always an exciting one; try to get there early so you can get your first choice stuffed animal.
In December, CAB will be hosting De-Stress Fest on the 11th. And, after that, the event everyone has been waiting for: Finals Week Bingo. Be sure to stop in December 14th and keep an eye on the CAB Facebook Events page to know the exact when and where. We’ll bring you the scope on possible prizes as they’re revealed.
Outside of events, CAB has discussed using a new event tracking system. This would allow them to track attendees more easily and would collect demographic information so they could better serve the student body with future events.
Finally, CAB is in the process of making some Executive Board changes. As of last meeting, two positions were open to General Board Members. Expect to see more updates on this after the next CAB meeting.
CAB currently is adjusting its meeting times and will have updated meeting information out soon. Keep an eye on their page and read our next CAB report to stay up to date on all things CAB related. Visit the CAB Facebook page to learn more about upcoming events and how you can get involved.
