The Campus Activities Board meeting on October 16, 2018 began at 5:03 pm in the Rita Bole Community Room The executive board welcomed everyone back from break and the group shared pleasantries about their week off. The remainder of the meeting was dedicated to discussion of both previous and upcoming events.
On this same date, during the free-block, CAB hosted “Coffee, Cookies, Cocoa, and CAB” in the Theatre Lobby. About 100 students came and it was busiest around 11:30 am due to classes ending and meetings adjourning.
The first upcoming event was the performance of Illusionist Elliot Zimet on October 18th in the Theatre at 9 pm. On Saturday, October 20th, the FrightFest trip to Six Flags occurred. This trip was already fully booked and wait-listed. Other upcoming events include the Snacky snack and crafty crafts event (also known as CAB, Crafts, and Comfort Foods) on Tuesday, October 23rd; a variety of Halloween events including the RA Haunted House on Saturday, October 27th; and a potential Target Run, to the new Target store in Burlington, which could occur on Sunday, October 28th. The Tuesday before Halloween has been dubbed Spooky Tuesday and will include a wide variety of spooky events–which may or may not include bobbing for donuts, face painting of bats, and a “guess how many in the jar” giveaway.
