CAB Turns Water Bottles into Piggy Banks

Tuesday, September 23, students and faculty got the opportunity to make DIY water bottle piggy banks in the theater lobby, as part of DIY Tuesdays. DIY sessions are put on by CAB on Tuesdays from eleven to one.

I was able to talk with Kelsey Emery, CAB’s Student Government Representative, on how you create a water bottle piggy bank. “You start with a water bottle, take the wrapping off, you cut a hole for the coins, then you put beads on for the feet, then you’re able to decorate it as you want.” They had many different ways you could decorate your water bottle piggy banks: you could put ears on it, a tail, or even dress it up to make it your own personalized recycled water bottle piggy bank.

CAB is holding more DIY events on Tuesdays with the next one being Tuesday, October 1 in the theater lobby where you will be able to make DIY mugs.
