Do you know what your rising sign is? How about what the fifth zodiac sign is? With Amazon shopping sprees on the line, students came out last Tuesday night to test their knowledge of the Zodiac signs. On March 24 at 8 pm, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) hosted Zodiac Trivia Night. The winner was set to get a $50 amazon shopping spree, which brought in around 13 students, all eager to put their knowledge to the test. The runner-up would get $25 and third place would get $10.
The trivia game was a 40-question Kahoot test created by Mike Secreti to test the participant’s knowledge of horoscopes and zodiac signs. It didn’t take long for the event to heat up, bringing out everyone’s competitive side. The students gave it their all; everyone had different strategies, one being to only click the red answer every single time.
Third-year student Dakotah Luebbert took the grand prize, followed by second-year Jessy Hart in second and third-year Nat Sullivan in third.
Watching the game unfold was exhilarating, and following the game I got a chance to talk to the host, Renee Chaples, about her experience and CAB events in general. Renee said that she enjoys hosting events now that she has gotten more comfortable and finds herself able to talk without tripping on her words too much. She also stated that she is usually the one to host the events for CAB, even though she does give other members the opportunity to give it a shot. Renee definitely keeps the crowd engaged and makes the event a good time. If you haven’t made it to a CAB event, from my experience, it is definitely worth the time.
