Lyndon Day is on the Horizon

NVU-Lyndon’s annual Lyndon Day celebration is scheduled for next Tuesday! Student Government executive vice president Katie Flannigan is working with clubs to solidify activities for the event.

Lyndon Day was started three years ago to celebrate the past, present, and future of the campus. Former SGA president Kate Henriques saw a divide between students who enrolled in Lyndon State College and students who enrolled in Northern Vermont University – Lyndon, and saw this event as a way to bridge that gap. Lyndon Day also serves as the spring semester’s involvement fair, where clubs can recruit new members.

Flannigan says there will be food and free shirts at this year’s event. Lyndon Day will be held in the Moore Community Room (ASAC 100) from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 31.

At the beginning of Wednesday’s SGA meeting, only six clubs were registered to participate in Lyndon Day. However, more signed up during and after the meeting. Lyndon Day is a required event for clubs to attend per the SGA’s Accountability Policy enacted last semester.
