NVU-Lyndon Hornets Men’s Basketball Team Preview

Last season, the Lyndon Hornets men’s basketball team finished with a record of 2 wins and 22 loses. It was a tough year, but they are looking to bounce back this season and rack up some wins. They have nine freshmen joining the team this year. These new faces should help the Hornets improve and be much more competitive this season.

Along with these newcomers, there are also seven upperclassmen on the Hornets this year. The experience that these players have will really help the freshmen on this team become better players. This combination of youth and veteran leadership should be able to lead the Hornets to a much more successful season.

The coaching staff of the Hornets will also play a big part in the success of this upcoming year. The head coach of the team, David Pasiak, has over thirty years of coaching experience. The knowledge that he has to offer will be very beneficial when it comes to developing the young players on this team. The three assistant coaches, Marquis Mason-Pollard, Raymond Monroe, and Darren Williams Jr., will also play key roles in leading this team to success.

The Hornets season tips off on Thursday, November 8, at 5:30 pm. This is their first of three straight home games to start off the year. Starting the season off at home for a few games should be a big advantage for the Hornets. Hopefully, they can turn this advantage into some wins so that they can have some momentum going into the rest of, what will hopefully be, an amazing season for the Lyndon Hornets.
