NVU-Lyndon Students Take Day Trip for Sox Game

This past Saturday, September 2, a group of over 20 students traveled to Boston for the day to view the second to last regular season game of the Red Sox’s season. It was a 1:00 PM game, so the students left at 8:30 in the morning to arrive at the stadium on time. This trip was one of the many annual free trips sponsored by the Campus Activities Board (CAB) and was filtered by a first-come, first-serve basis.

The students traveled with Maple City Charters for a more luxurious experience that included a Premier coach bus, snacks, movies, and trivia with prizes. Upon their arrival, the students enjoyed the sights and sounds of “America’s Most Beloved Ballpark” with the natural aroma of cut grass and interludes of Fenway franks and Crackerjacks. It was a beautiful day with a high of 79 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

The Boston Red Sox ended up losing 8-4 to the Baltimore Orioles, but with the season nearing an end, the Sox can focus on their outlook for next season. All went well and the students arrived back safely to campus Saturday night.
