The NVU-Lyndon Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) held a Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, October 31 in the Vail parking lot. Each athletic team decorated a car trunk and handed out candy, masks, and gifts supporting different charities. The event began after the Spooky Soccer Game around 12:30 PM and lasted until 2:00 PM.
Hotdogs and popcorn were supplied by the athletic trainers Megan Barnes and Chantal Jean. Teams arrived before 9 am to find their parking spots and begin to decorate their trunks. Once set up, the teams left to compete and convened later for the event.
Alongside candy giveaways, there was a competition between the team trunks. The winner of the best trunk went to Women’s Lacross with their Radiador Springs themed decor. However, this was not the only award-winning team. The Cross Country team won the team with the most Halloween Spirit with a Rick and Morty themed trunk. Overall, Trunk or Treat was a success.
