From taste tests to Christmas caroling at BINGO, the YouTube series of “Will & Jer” has covered it all.
You may know Jeremiah Heyliger or “Jer” from having classes or just seeing him around campus, but he also had a YouTube series called “Will and Jer.” Throughout four seasons, Jer and his roommate Will Martin decided to create skits that lasted four to eight minutes long for youtube. Sadly, this is Jer’s final year on campus and Will has moved to Salt Lake City to meet new people and make connections in the ski industry. However, they both believe there is still a chance of another comeback.
Some may wonder how the duo came to the idea of running the series. On February 11, 2019, they were bored in their apartment and came up with the idea of doing a taste test to post online. Jer said, “We had so much fun making the first one. That we had to make another.” After the second video, their friends started to give them feedback and encouraged them to do more.
Videos just started rolling in, some becoming instant classics. You may remember local episodes where they include the public such as Tour the Town, Finish the Line, and Christmas Special. Students and people around the Lyndon community were featured in these videos. Most recently in the Christmas Special, Will and Jer went caroling in the residential halls and throughout the NVU-Lyndon campus, finishing off their tour in the Moore Community Room for Bingo Night.
