Winter Ball Tradition Returns

On the night of March 4th, the Lyndon campus may seem empty.  This, however, is not due to a lack of students, but where these students are: The Winter Ball.

Friday night, from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Burke Mountain, students of NVU-Lyndon will be attending a ball hosted by SGA. With snowflakes and other wintery decorations, the ball will hopefully make up for missed events due to the ongoing pandemic, like prom, while also celebrating the senior class.

“I’m excited to have a celebration with everyone since it’s my senior year,” said senior Haley Fiaschetti, who is also on the Winter Ball committee.

The winter-themed ball is semi-formal, said SGA Treasurer Patrick Wickstrom. “You don’t need to go all dressed up or anything, but feel free to just go all out.”

Along with dancing, a photo booth, and horderves, the ball will have a cash bar that includes “high quality” alcohol, according to SGA President Gill MacDonald. Due to the cash bar, SGA will also be providing transportation to ensure everyone’s safety at the event. When asked what she was most excited for, MacDonald simply stated, “cash bar.”

Tickets for the ball will go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, February 10, for $5 each.
