Dear Northern Vermont University-Lyndon,
May I formally and officially welcome you all to the Spring Semester of 2019. This is the second semester of NVU, and it has already started out with quite a weather event. I hope you all are enjoying the snow. And, if you drive, I hope you have a good parking spot that isn’t completely covered.
In my first letter to you as the Editor-in-Chief of The Critic, I welcomed you to our new website. Here I am again, to welcome you to our new digital home: NVULyndonCritic.com
The Critic has big plans for this semester. The biggest of which we’ve already completed–launching the new website. Our first priority, as evident by our first completed goal, is to unify our social media and online presence and to create both digital and print content that will be useful to the student body at Lyndon. We may not yet be back to our glory days, but we’re getting there one piece at a time. One of those pieces was our first official NVU-Lyndon edition of The Critic created last semester. If you didn’t see it in person, feel free to read the digital edition here: The Critic – A Semester in Review FA 2018
We currently have two Executive Board Member positions open: Secretary and Treasurer. Those interested are encouraged to contact The Critic for more information. We also always have openings for staff and contributors. If you have something to write about, we want to hear it!
Our first meeting is Friday, February 1st at 4:30pm in the Student Center (next to the Hornet’s Nest). We will also be at the Involvement Fair this coming Thursday in the Theater Lobby during the community hour. I hope to see you there.
Sincerely,
Bryanna Smith
Editor-in-Chief
