Op-Ed: Twilight Players Give Rousing Performance of Zombie Prom

On Saturday night at NVU-Lyndon, the Twilight Players shined brightly in their Zombie Prom presentation. The cast exhilaratingly brought the campy fun of the musical to life for the Lyndon community. The entire performance was marvelous because of the energy exuded by the whole cast having fun with the musical and the audience showing much appreciation through the evidence of their laughter and applause. The nicely done costumes, sound, lighting, and set designs give that 1950’s vibe which added to the appeal of the performance.

When asked how the opening night went, director and faculty advisor Michael Kane said, “The opening night went really well. It was typical, lots of heart, a little bit messy in terms of execution of things, so much energy, and so much passion. I was just so happy with everybody.”

The message of inclusion and acceptance of everyone despite differences at the play’s end is the icing on the cake for this production. The presentation was lively, entertaining, engaging, thought-provoking, and with the negative things going on in the world, most of all fun. So, for your first full production since the pandemic started, a well-deserved standing ovation to the cast and crew of the Twilight Players.
